He was horrified when another competitor opened up on his right, and announced its arrival with an even larger sign, reading LOWEST PRICES. The shopkeeper panicked, until he got an idea. He put the biggest sign of all over his own shop. It read MAIN ENTRANCE .

Me too. I love that the business originator uses creativity to gain an edge over unimaginative followers. But I also believe it highlights that business is never static. It is constantly changing, and you need to either copy, innovate, or both to survive.
